Nursing Research Publications

• Helps increase knowledge of their work
• Highlight work that has been done over the past 15 years
• How can we engage these nursing researchers with ANHE
• Laura - has a graduate student starting January that could work on a lit review and make initial contact with these researchers

Research WG in 2012

• Need to increase engagement
• Would we have more engagement with the call on a different day/time?
• Need to create a list of nurses to send to Martha Berger - recommendations for vacancies on the CHEPAC
• Paper on APHA poster?
• Participants that went to research retreat may want to collaborate on the paper
• Create an outline collectively and have clear expectations
• Those on the call who want to participate should email Laura with their name and contact information
• Research Bureau List
• Mentorship contact list
• Research links page on enviRN

EPA NACEPT - Will see if Wade would like to be nominated

Research conference

• Conference grants offered by several different federal agencies - ARHQ, CDC
• Laura will have her grants person do a search for grant opportunities
• There may be an opportunity through Georgetown University - donors very interested in environmental science

Research Retreat Update

• Outcomes so far - 1 grant, 2 manuscripts, poster presentation
• Utilized grant writing "handbook" - need to see if we can get more copies to use with the WGs
• May be a good topic for a CE offering
