Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments

About me

I am an inpatient oncology nurse and clinical instructor at UMMC in Baltimore.  I am very interested in the impact of the environment on both health exposures that nurses face and also in the increasing cancer diagnoses that we face as a nation and individuals.

In my first career, I performed a variety of roles in the non-profit sector, including issue advocacy work.

I am interested in teaching others about the environmental threats they face in daily living and how to reduce their exposures to toxins, in hopes of reducing risk for developing cancer.  For those patients we are serving in various stages of the disease, I am looking for ways to help them de-toxify their own lives and envrironments.  On a large scale, I am involved with building support for legislation to reform chemical policy regulations in the U.S.
