Nurses Take the Hill for Climate and Health Justic Nurses Take the Hill for Climate and Health Justice!

In April, nurses from across the U.S. met with over 45 congressional offices to deliver a clear, united message: protect our communities, protect our health.

From asthma in kids to the impact of wildfire smoke, nurses shared powerful stories and pushed for climate-smart policy — because health justice is climate justice.

🏛️ Lawmakers listened. Now it’s time to keep the momentum going.

“If Republicans can ignore the Parliamentarian on the CRA, then why not the tax bill [...], or healthcare, or anything else?” — @SenAlexPadilla on the huge risks of Senate GOP taking the “nuclear option” to crush common-sense pollution standards.

The GOP’s attack on CA’s 50-year history of vehicle pollution standards is a direct assault on the Clean Air Act. Contact your senator and tell them to stand up for our country’s bedrock air quality law and VOTE NO on the CRA resolutions against the clean vehicle waivers. https://zurl.co/sDT82

Today, the EPA announced plans to weaken the nation’s water rule on PFAS, also known as “forever chemicals” — toxic substances linked to cancer and other serious illnesses.

Nurses and health advocates are speaking out. Clean water is a human right — and we will not accept backtracking on public health.

🚨 ANHE stands with communities and advocates in 🚨 ANHE stands with communities and advocates in strong opposition to an unprecedented exemption that would allow hundreds of chemical plants to ignore critical emissions standards finalized just last year.

Among these standards was the HON rule, which required over 200 chemical plants—linked to elevated cancer risks in fenceline communities—to:

✅ Monitor for six cancer-causing air pollutants
✅ Take swift action if emissions exceed safety limits

We say: No more pollution without accountability. Communities must come first.
