Great news from @NHTSAgov and the Trump Administra Great news from @NHTSAgov and the Trump Administration: your car will now guzzle more gas, cost more to drive, and pollute more. Because apparently cars in 1975 were just too modern. 😳#CleanerCars

Trump’s signing of the illegal #CRA resolutions Trump’s signing of the illegal #CRA resolutions is just a giveaway to Big Oil. Plain and simple. It strips states of their right to set stronger tailpipe pollution standards. CA, NY, WA, DC & 15 others: keep leading! #CleanerCars #RouteZero Read our full statement today: https://zurl.co/ub7HI

“Nurses are very concerned... toxic pollutants like mercury, arsenic, and other heavy metals cause disease and premature death.” — Katie Huffling, DNP, RN, CNM, FAAN

ANHE opposes these rollbacks and urges nurses to stand up for public health. A 45-day comment period opens soon. Let’s be heard.

We thank Neha Pathak, MD, FACP, DipABLM, Board Mem We thank Neha Pathak, MD, FACP, DipABLM, Board Member of Georgia Clinicians for Climate Action, for delivering our Keynote remarks at ANHE's "Investing in Health" symposium at Emory Conference Center on June 4th. Dr. Pathak covered the importance of a planetary health approach to health and reviewed the current state of environmental and climate health in Georgia.
The fight against a corroded, failed oil pipeline The fight against a corroded, failed oil pipeline is heating up in California, as Sable Offshore Corp. — a Texas-based oil company emboldened by Trump’s “drill baby drill agenda” — is pushing to restart the pipeline and offshore drilling unit behind one of the worst oil spills in state history. Despite immense public opposition, a record-high $18 million dollar fine from the California Coastal Commission, endless legal challenges, and now two court orders halting work on the project, Sable shows no sign of relenting in their reckless plan to turn a profit at our expense.

Through it all, Gov. Newsom has remained silent. Where is he?

Californians deserve a leader who will stand up to Trump’s rollbacks, defend our values, and hold firm on the progress we’ve made to move beyond oil.

But while a Texas-based oil company runs roughshod over state agencies in pursuit of Trump’s “drill baby drill agenda”, Newsom is nowhere to be seen.
