Plastic pollution is a global crisis affecting the health of the planet and all life on Earth from plankton to humans. Like climate change, plastic pollution is a result of a dedicated effort by the fossil fuel and petrochemical industries to exploit a natural resource to unnatural consequences. This webinar will explore the health implications of plastics and options for effective change.

Sandra R. Curtis has been a Director for Innovative Projects for the past six years at Plastic Pollution Coalition. Dr. Curtis initiated the organization’s efforts to bring awareness to the health hazards of plastic.
After this free webinar participants will be able to:
1) Describe the environmental and health impacts of plastic within the context of climate change, with a specific focus will be on single-use plastic.
2) Review the health implications of plastic throughout the lifecycle starting with extraction to production, use, and disposal.
