Climate Change Committee – Climate & Health Advocacy Training

September 17, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm EDT

Join the ANHE Global Nurses Climate Change Committee for a Climate & Health Advocacy Training. In ANHE June 2020, the United States House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis released a blueprint to address the climate crisis entitled “Solving the Climate Crisis: The Congressional Action Plan for a Clean Energy Economy and a Healthy and Just America.” The Climate Crisis Action Plan includes 12 key pillars, outlining policy recommendations and a roadmap for Congress to address the climate crisis by focusing on building a clean energy economy and advancing economic and environmental justice.

The ANHE Global Nurses Climate Change Committee has developed a summary of how solutions outlined in the report will make people healthier if urgent and immediate climate action is taken. Join the committee on September 17th at 5-6 pm ET for a climate and health advocacy webinar training! On this webinar speakers will share an overview of the report, provide guidance on how nurses can schedule visits with their legislators, and discuss other opportunities to engage in climate and health advocacy.

Ruth Esa, ANHE Nurse Fellow Region 2
Tammy Davis, ANHE Nurse Fellow Region 4
Rachael De Souza, ANHE Nurse Fellow Region 10
