MACCHE Webinar Series on Environmental Justice and Climate Change: Part 1

Join us for a Webinar Series on Environmental Justice and Climate Change

On August 17th and 24th, the Mid Atlantic Center for Children’s Health and the Environment (MACCHE) is teaming up with the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments (ANHE) to host a webinar series focused on the intersection of environmental justice and climate change and implications for nurses. Join us on August 17th at 12pm EST to learn more about the impacts impacts of climate change on children’s health and MACCHE’s work in the field of Environmental Justice. On August 24th at 12pm EST, Dr. Feaga will share their work on Rockwool project in West Virginia.

During the first webinar, nurses will:

1. Define environmental justice.

2. Describe how communities of color and indigenous populations are at increased risk for health issues associated with climate change. 

3. Outline at least 3 resources for nurses to advance climate justice.

We are able to offer 1 hour of free continuing education credit for each webinar. Both webinars will be recorded so please sign up even if you can’t attend live and we will automatically send you the recording.
