Radiation Disaster Preparedness and Management of Exposure & Contamination

ANHE Nurse and Member, Jessica Castner is the Chair-elect of the ATS Section on Terrorism and Inhalational Disasters (TID). We are hosting a webinar on December 1 at 2pm EDT entitled Radiation Disaster Preparedness and Management of Exposure & Contamination. This webinar is open regardless of ATS membership status, we’d love for you to join us!  We look forward to seeing you on December 1!

The Section on Terrorism and Inhalation Disasters welcomes two expert speakers from the CDC National Center for Environmental Health. This webinar will review types of radiation emergencies, such as nuclear emergencies and dirty bombs, including exposure sources and health concerns. Participants will describe differences in radiation exposure vs. contamination and key concepts in decontamination, public health and medical management. There will be opportunities to interact with other participants and to ask questions of the speakers.
