Toxic Beauty Products & Black Women’s Health: A Webinar for Nurses

November 8, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm UTC+0

The beauty products marketed to Black women are among the most toxic in the cosmetics industry and are contributing to an increased risk of breast, ovarian and uterine cancer, reproductive harm, and more. We will discuss how nurses can talk with patients about the chemicals of concern in beauty and personal care products marketed to Black women – what they are, where they are, the negative health impacts and where to find safer alternatives. We will also provide tips and resources that nurses can share with their patients to help them avoid these toxic exposures.
