Workshop – The Art of Storytelling in Nursing

November 29, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm UTC+0

During the 2022 ANHE Nursing Summit, we hosted a storytelling breakout session and you asked for more! We’re hosting a 90 minute workshop on Tuesday November 29th and we’d love for you to join!

Stories can be powerful tools in shaping change. As nurses, we are trusted professionals, and part of building trust with our organizations, peers, patients, and communities, is sharing our stories. Join us for a workshop on storytelling, where we’ll talk about the power of us, the power of now, and the power of organizing your community for collective action.

Workshop leader: Pedja Stojjcic, Program Director for Community Organizing, Center for Health Equity Education & Advocacy (CHEEA) at Cambridge Health Alliance. Pedja and his team will guide us through a 90-minute workshop where we’ll do the work of building our stories and at the end, you’ll have the opportunity to practice sharing!

Those participating in this workshop will:

  • Describe the power of stories in creating social change.
  • Identify how to structure, craft, and deliver powerful stories to varying audiences, and
  • Describe ways in which nurses can use storytelling in varying practice settings to build trust and initiate change.

We hope to see you there. Register here.

This course is pending approval by the California Board of Registered Nurses, Provider Number CEP17198 for 1.5 contact hours.
