One question. 10,000 nurses. A healthier future.
Nurses see how environmental conditions affect the health of the communities we serve. Our elected officials need to hear from us.
This fall, the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments (ANHE) is challenging 10,000 nurses nationwide to ask an elected official one question ahead of the November midterms:
Will you take action to protect the health of our communities from environmental risks?
From the school board to the Senate, elected leaders make decisions that affect our environment and our health. Your question can help start a conversation about the issues that matter where you live.
How to take part:
1 Choose an elected official
Contact someone who represents your community at the local, state, or federal level. You can ask during a public meeting or a conversation, by phone, or in a written message.
2 Make the ask
Introduce yourself as a nurse and a constituent. Ask the campaign question, then give the official space to respond. If you are writing, invite a reply.
3 Log your participation
After you have made the ask, complete the participation form so ANHE can track participation toward the goal of 10,000 nurses.
